Puissance (D/PWR/SPH)	Power is the strenght of your contact lens, and is a number between -25 and +25 (e.g. -1.50 or -1,75 or +1.00 or +2.50, etc.) Power is also called ”Pwr”, ”D”(diopters), ”Strenght” or ”SPH” (sphere) in the prescription or on the contact lens box. In your prescription, ”OS” = Your left eye and ”OD” = Your right eye. OU = Both eyes (your eyes have exactly the same parameter) --> If you are nearsighted (can see only near objects well) then select MINUS powers. --> If you are farsighted (can see only distant objects well) then select PLUS powers. Note, the power of the contact lenses is generally not the same power as in your eyeglass prescription.
Courbure (BC)	Base Curve (a number between 8.0 and 10.0). This is the inside curve of your contact lens (e.g., 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, etc.). Base Curve is often written as ”BC” or ”BOZR” in your prescription or on the contact lens box. Many contact lenses come in only one base curve, many others in only two base curves, some come in multiple base curves so care must be taken when ordering. Air Optix and HydraGlyde are a new and improved version of the Air Optix Aqua.

These lenses are manufactured with Alcon’s unique SmartShield and HydraGlyde technologies, these advanced lenses have an ultra-thin protective layer that keeps them constantly hydrated for better comfort during long, busy days.
The SmartShield Technology prevents the build up of lipid deposits and protects clarity of vision.

Air Optix and HydraGlyde also has up to five times more oxygen permeability than normal lenses.
